How Much Horsepower Does A Mitsubishi Outlander Have?

  • 2024 Standard Gasoline Engine: A 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 181 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque, paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). 
  • 2025 Plug-in Hybrid Powertrain: Combines a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with twin electric motors, achieving a total system output of 248 horsepower and 144 lb-ft of torque.

For 2024-2025, the Mitsubishi Outlander comes with 2 engine options, gas and hybrid. With simplicity in mind, all gas and plug-in hybrid trim levels will experience the same power output respectively, but that doesn't mean they will all perform the same when you take into account all-wheel drive systems and drive modes.

At the time of writing there are no engine specs for the 2025 gas powered Outlander, but you may be able to expect similar numbers to the 2024 model year.
